Om Beckers
Beckers has long had a strong focus on the environment. In fact, they were the first paint manufacturer to have products awarded the Swan Label environmental certification. Today, they are even more committed to ensuring that our customers can always choose from a wide range of sustainable products that are kind to the environment. In 2011, they set a target to reduce their climate impact by 50 per cent by 2020. They achieved this target already in 2017. Today, 99 per cent of their products are water-based, and we have started an initiative focusing on bio-based products.World-class productionIn 2008, all production of Beckers paints was moved to Nykvarn and one of Europe's most environmentally friendly factories. The amount of hazardous waste in production is very small, and no wastewater burdens the municipal treatment plant. All electricity at the factory is green, and the premises are heated with district heating.Asthma and Allergy Association:Beckers products bearing the Asthma and Allergy Association's Svalan mark are recommended by the Swedish Asthma and Allergy Association following review with a focus on respiratory problems and fragrance sensitivity. The SwanBeckers work with the Swan Label, which we commonly call the Swan, which is a Type 1 environmental label. This means that the requirements are developed by an independent third party, the requirements are continuously strengthened, and they are developed from a life cycle perspective.
