The story behind Migadan A/SMigadan A/S was founded in 1892 under the name Odense Krølhaarsfabrik, where they produced curled horsehair for the furniture industry. After the Second World War, they began importing upholstery fabrics and carpets, which marked the start of their journey into flooring. In the late 1960s, Migadan A/S was among the first in Denmark to introduce tufted carpets with rubber backing – a technique still used today. In 1999, they expanded their range with wall-to-wall carpets with felt backing, which quickly became a popular solution due to their comfort and easy handling. Today, Migadan A/S offers both felt-backed and rubber-backed carpets to meet different needs and preferences. The company has been family-owned since 1933, when Walter Garbers took over the leadership. In 1984, the reins were handed over to Michael Garbers, who further developed the business. In 2019, a new generational handover began when Michael's son, Morten Garbers, joined the company. This strong family tradition helps ensure continuity, stability and a passion for quality, which is reflected in their products.
